With the N P C qualifying round almost half way through, I thought it was about time to drop you another line. Currently as at 8/9/98 the Turbines are running in second position on the table. |

We have had some great games of rugby and some full on after match functions. Don't leave your run to late to show your support as the N P C will be over before we know it. You get discount drinks free nibbles and a chance to meet the players at our after match functions. We have a family bar so kids are also welcolme. |
AWAY GAMES |
Timaru- On the 19/9/98 North Otago Turbines are playing South Canterbury at Timaru at 6pm preceeded by the development squad curtain raiser. This give us another crack at the Hannon Shield. We would dearly love to have it back in North Otago. The supporters club will run up to two buses (free of charge to members ). PLEASE let me know at Hi-Way Auto Centre by Thursday 17/9/98 on ph 4348798 to allow for us to organise buses. We will be leaving the Northside 7 at 2.30pm. West Coast trans alpine trip 3/10/98. There is a limit of 50 travellers organised for this trip with half the seats already booked. Final bookings with full payment will be accepted up until 25/9/98. The bus leaves Oamaru sharp at 6am on Saturday, we pick up the train at Rolleston and arrive Greymouth at 1.25pm. A bus takes us to the game and returns us back to the Revintons Hotel afterwards. Then we travel back on the trans alpine at 2.25pm Sunday and home late on Sunday night. This is promised to be a great weekend away all for the princely sum of $160. FINAL BOOKING DAY IS 25/9/98 |
CELEBRITY NIGHT |
On Friday the 30/10/98 we are running a celebrity night. One of our guest speakers is Phil Kingslea-Jones with another yet to be confirmed. The night is guaranteed to be alot of fun with raffles (lot of prizes ) and a very special auction to follow. Be there or be square. |
