in the South Island of New Zealand.
20 to 35lb salmon being a common size to be landed. 
 
Tours are designed to be personal, with only 4 passengers and the operator at one time.  
  
The operator will tell you about the mighty Waitaki River.  
  
You may be lucky enough to see a salmon being caught.  You will travel on some of the roughest water in the South Island, or cruise some of the quiet back streams.

are very flexible
and can arrange trips
from half a day
to as long as you wish.
 
Hotel accommodation, motels, homestays
or rough it in a caravan can be arranged.
